AirVentures Hot Air Ballooning offers daily balloon flights, all year-round. Our Safari flights launches from the heart of the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve and usually covers a large portion of the Reserve before moving into the surrounding game reserves, offering guests unique game viewing and photographic opportunities.

The Reserve is conveniently located within the world heritage site 'The Cradle of Humankind', and is an approx. 30 min drive from Joburg and 40min drive from Pretoria.

Our Safari Flight takes the Classic flight beyond traditional boundaries, and is the ultimate in game viewing experiences. Approximately 80% of our flights have sightings of at least two of the Big Five within the hour's flight.

What to wear
Long pants, sturdy shoes, preferably a cap or hat and layers of casual, loose-fitting clothing, so that you may readily adjust to the temperature. Don't forget your camera or video recorder and sunblock.

Who can fly
Great for individuals, friends, couples, groups and families. We have no age limitations. Children must, however, be tall enough to see over the edge of the basket in a standing position, approximately four feet high.
